Welcoming hands

Welcoming hands displays six sculptures of bronze hands laid on granite stones, created in 1996 and originally set in New York. The installation is located on the Jeu de Paume museum side, overlooking place de la Concorde and Richard Serra‘s Clara-Clara. They invite you to a strange journey wandering among them, and as most of Louise Bourgeois‘s work, they provoke deep ans contrary feelings.
