"The singer is Ingrid Michaelson, a 26-year-old Staten Island native who lives at home with her parents and has become the chanteuse of "Grey's Anatomy." She was discovered on MySpace by a management company that specializes in finding little-known acts and placing their works in soundtracks for TV shows, commercials, movies and videogames.
This unconventional model has worked well for Ms. Michaelson, who until recently was earning about $250 a week teaching theater to kids part-time but can now support herself with her music. La noieta ha cantat tres cançons propies de l'estil de Grey's Anatomy durant la temporada 3. S'ha de dir que la trien pels millors moments!
Cal destacar la seva cançó Keep breathing que va sonar just després de l'anul·lació del casament de la Cristina i el Burk, quan ella arriba a casa i veu que l'ha perdut, es queda sense respirar i es veu la Cristina expressant la seva desesperació, plorant, mostrant els seus sentiments i deixant la imatge freda i insensible que manté durant tota la seire. Una cançó que acompanya molt bé la desesperació de la situació.
